Contagious

“I am an HIV patient, could you give me a hug?” Her sign says, she wanders around the street, hoping to get some comfort.

Everyone passes by frightfully, no one would come near her, not even her friends, who claimed to be by her side no matter what. She begins to think that humans are hypocrites, although this is all an experiment, she laughs at the results.

Suddenly, a boy comes up to her, pulls her into his arms, whispers, “Don’t worry, I am like you.” She pushes him away wildly, shouts “Don’t touch me!” and leaves him in the spot where she stood before.

The boy sighs, and walks straight back into the crowd.

Suicide

People with Acrophobia jumps off a cliff,

Man with aqua-phobia drowns himself in an ocean,

Woman with hematophobia dies from wrist cutting.

What do you think? Were they desperate enough, or did they conquer their fears?

Humanity

“I’d be giving you what you need to be complete.” the scientist says to the robot, as he observes the robot watching a flower through a magnifier.

The scientist hands it a heart-like object, tells it to put it into its body. The robot takes it, and place it at its left chest, and begins to see the world differently.

The first thing he does, is to take the magnifier, and place it at the right angle to see the flower burns into dust.

Giraffes

“Hey dad? Mom?” The baby giraffe has been talking to its parents for days, but they’re too high up to notice their son speaking to them.

“Our kid hasn’t been talking to us…” The father giraffe sighs, “maybe he think that we’re too old and won’t understand him”. They walk away, leaving their son on his own.

Santa

He’s excited about Christmas, him being every kid in the world, and also the little boy sitting on my lap. “What do you want for Christmas?” I, dressed up as Santa Claus, ask. The boy brightly replies “I want to grow up!’ I smile. Yes, isn’t that what every kids want? To grow up?

I begin to take off my fake beards and tell him there is no Santa in this world.

Dream

“Hey dad, can I ask you a question?” I sit. by his bed, wonders what he wanted to know. “Why did you insist to drive even though you knew you were drunk?”

I pause. I couldn’t reply with anything, I just stare at the empty bed, wonder if he would ever forgive me.

Bald

“Do you think I’m strong?” The dad asks his son, and he replies with a yes. “Do you think Shaolin is cool?” Again, the son says yes. “Then what do you think about Daddy shaving his head, and go train with the Shaolin Monks?” The kid gives him a big smile, and happily wishes his dad the best.

That day is the first day of the dad’s chemotherapy.

Snowman

“You shouldn’t not have created me.” The snowman says as he watches the boy putting a button on its body. “I would be gone before spring.”

The boy smiles and says, “i would too.”

Hunter

The hunter aims at the deer’s body, ready to take its corpse to show off to his friends, he points his gun at his prey, and shoots. When he gets close, the deer is still alive. “Still not dead yet?” He says, and the deer looks at him and replies, “Hey man you’re a good guy, but I think there is something wrong with your camera.”

6 feet apart

The government has issued the Stay At Home Order, even if you wanted to go outside, you have to put on masks and stay 6 feet apart. I watch her sitting across the table, I want to hug her, I want to give her a smile, but I know we couldn’t. At last, we both stand up and leave, “See you tomorrow” we said. That is the longest distance between us, 6 feet.
